Kunal Naik
Kunal is a licensed psychologist and a psychology lecturer, as well as a passionate activist with extensive experience in international drug policy and harm reduction movements. Over the past decade, Kunal has worked with local and global NGOs, championing drug policy reform and advancing evidence-based interventions and therapies including harm reduction for people who use drugs.
Specializing in Addictology, Kunal focuses on both behavioural addictions and substance use disorders. His work spans diverse and vulnerable populations, including adolescents, addressing critical issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioural addictions and substance use challenges.
Kunal adopts a holistic approach to therapy, with a wide range of techniques such as Compassionate Inquiry, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Systemic Family Therapy, Meditation, and Bodily Relaxation. This integrative methodology empowers individuals to manage stress effectively and cultivate resilience from within.
Kunal is based on the tiny island of Mauritius.
