Steve Borloz
Although born and raised in Switzerland, Steve Borloz shares a heart resonance with Cape Town, South Africa. He formed a connection with the country at the beginning of his healing journey and developed a bond with the land, its people, and its teachings. He loves both Switzerland and Cape Town and spends his time between the two.
Steve is a Compassionate Inquiry (CI) Facilitator, Circle leader and Practitioner. He has completed the Compassionate Inquiry Mentorship Program, Compassionate Inquiry Internship Program, and continues to develop his skills by being part of the Compassionate Inquiry Mentoring Internship Program.
A passionate Kundalini Yoga Instructor, Steve taught yoga in a South African prison as part of its Prison Freedom Project. He also co-developed a mindfulness-based routine for Recovery Direct, an Addiction Treatment Centre in Cape Town.
As a former Marketing Director, Steve understands the consequences of the pressure-driven environments of the corporate world. As such, he’s discovered the importance of self-regulation and compassionate self-care in the workplace.
He currently uses Compassionate Inquiry to empower employees working in the sustainability department at the globally recognised renewable energy company, Scatec ASA. His work here includes assisting in the development of trauma-informed programs that support low-income communities in South Africa.
Steve’s healing modalities include somatic therapy; Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE), Breathwork, Movement Medicine, Vision Quests, and Shamanic approaches.
His addiction recovery journey, life experience and ongoing dedication to personal growth and spirituality play an integral role in how he lives, learns, and practices. These have given him the insight into the power of compassion in healing any addiction-based coping mechanism.
Steve is the perfect practitioner for those who want to understand and overcome personal life challenges and become better at processing their feelings to be present in their lives.
He works in French, English and German. Learn more about Steve here.
