In-person Circles group with Soraya Romao-Inglis, a highly skilled CI Circle Leader, Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner and Mentor, will run from Tuesday, September 5th from 4.30pm to 6.30pm PST.
Soraya Romao-Inglis Bio
As a beneficiary of the Canadian and Brazilian colonial system, I acknowledge
that I work, live and play on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of
the Coast Salish peoples – Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Musqueam Nations.
I am a settler in Canada, and I am aware of my social location and its many privileges, so I strive to always learn and stay humble.
As a BIPOC woman raised in Brazil, and a settler in Canada for over 20 years, I
am a Kundalini Yoga teacher, who has been teaching and practicing for over 13
years, and a trained psychotherapist who has the honour to work directly with
Sat Dharam and Gabor Mate (I have a particular interest in trauma, anxiety,
addictions, depression, eating disorders, grief, and psychedelic integration).
That being said, I bring to my practice, as a psychotherapist and as a
Compassionate Inquiry (CI) Circle Leader, and life a multicultural, compassionate
lens, exploring with curiosity the influence of intersectionality in my clients’
lives.
I have been involved with Compassionate Inquiry (CI) since 2019 in different
roles such as intern, Ci facilitator, CI practitioner and CI Circles leader. I
welcome people from all cultures and experiences, ages, genders and sexuality,
immigrants, refugees and members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I honour
my stories, and will honour your stories, hoping that one day we may sit in a
circle and talk.
