As a Wellbeing Coach and Somatic Therapist, I bring together a wealth of personal, academic, and professional experience into a unique approach to supporting others. My practice combines Compassionate Inquiry, somatic practices, and healthy lifestyle strategies to guide clients toward greater vitality, authenticity, and inner peace in everyday life. Through my meditation practice and the mentorship of my teachers—Gabor Maté, Sat Dharam Kaur, Graham Mead, Candace Pert and Rupert Spira—I have come to understand that authentic change begins with silence, stillness, and the courage to look inward. While confronting our inner world can be challenging, reconnecting with our bodies is where true transformation occurs. This ‘Inner Work’ reshapes how we relate to our mind, body, and world, demanding radical self-acceptance, ruthless honesty, and profound patience. I believe that present-moment awareness is the greatest gift we can bring into any relationship.
The essence of my work lies in reconnecting people with their bodies so they can access the wisdom it holds. I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals—from executives seeking deeper meaning in their lives to facilitating yoga and meditation for refugees in New Zealand. My global retreats offer immersive experiences that foster deep self-exploration, while my facilitation of psychedelic-assisted therapy provides another powerful avenue for healing, somatic reconnection and personal growth.
My own journey through addiction and mental health challenges brought me back to academia, where my doctoral research focused on meditation as an intervention for men struggling with pornography addiction. Many individuals, particularly men, turn to pornography and other behaviors as a way of coping with uncomfortable emotional states, underscoring the critical need for compassionate mental health support.
Currently, I am a practitioner, mentor, facilitator, and lifelong student of Compassionate Inquiry, a therapeutic approach developed by renowned Gabor Maté that helps individuals uncover the root causes of their suffering and self-destructive behaviors. My book, Somawise – a pioneering approach that empowers individuals to reconnect with their bodies through somatic experiences – offers insights and tools that has supported individuals worldwide on their journey toward greater self-awareness and authentic living.
Through my work, I aim to empower people to embrace their authentic selves, heal past wounds, and cultivate meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
