Soraya Romao-Inglis (Fateh Bir)
Soraya is a psychotherapist with a master's degree in trauma, eating disorders, and psychedelics. In her private practice, she combines Compassionate Inquiry, IFS (Internal Family Systems), Somatic Experiencing (SE), EMDR, and mindfulness practices, including Kundalini Yoga. She is also trained in psychedelics-assisted psychotherapy, which enables her to support clients during integration.
Soraya approaches her work from a multicultural perspective, exploring how her clients' identities intersect and influence their experiences. Although she is originally from Brazil, Soraya has been living in Canada for over 20 years, bringing her BIPOC background into her sessions and incorporating teachings from her ancestors.
By observing her clients and the effects of trauma, Soraya has specialized in grief and works as a Grief Educator, creating a compassionate space where past and present pain can be deeply understood and cared for. These specializations allow her to tailor her approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
For self-care, Soraya enjoys running, cycling, hiking, and reading. She also values spending time with her husband, two stepdaughters, and her dog Benjamin on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish People.
Soraya works as a CI facilitator, CI mentor, CI Circles leader and CI Portuguese Program Director.
