Description

I qualified as an NHS doctor in 2010 and as a GP (family doctor) in 2016. I worked for 4 years in areas of high deprivation in Scotland, with patients living with significant childhood trauma, addictions and homelessness, where I saw the limitations of the medical model in explaining the root causes of chronic disease. I now work with clients one-to-one and in groups, bringing together my skills and knowledge as a medical doctor, my training in Compassionate Inquiry and Dr Howard Schubiner’s approach to go beyond symptom management to support healing at a deeper level. I also have a special interest in working with fellow helpers such as doctors, nurses, healthcare and allied health professionals.

I live in County Down, N. Ireland on a small organic farm. I am a board member of the farm’s CIC (community interest company) and run farm-based therapy programmes. I also work as a retreat facilitator. I love singing and run singing workshops to support people to express themselves and find their voice. I am also interested in psychedelic medicine and integration work. I run online psychedelic integration groups and have worked as an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow on Imperial College London’s Psilopain (psilocybin for chronic pain) clinical trial. I have a regular yoga and meditation practice, love walking in the Drumlins around the farm and playing the flute.

My vision is that the people I work with understand themselves more deeply so that they can move beyond their challenges to be able to fully express themselves, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
